i know it's early, but what about the draft?!

all i have to say is:
LIONS, PLEASE DON'T PICK A QUARTERBACK! YOU HAVE 5 OF THEM, PLEASE PLEASE GET AN O LINE!!

the lions, if you don't know, have the #1 and #20 picks as well as two 3rd round picks.

well you haven't seen the ones from anyone in michigan! haha

andre smith all the way... then they move jeff backus to LG and, BAM, their quarterback has an extra 3-5 seconds to throw. imagine how much better orlovsky/kitna/caulpepper will look then!

Haha...who do all the Lions fans want? I know I dont want a QB for the Chiefs...for every 1 Matt Ryan, there are 5 Akili Smiths in the draft...too much of a risk in the 1st round.

A lot of good qb's come out of the later rounds...look at Matt Cassel and Matt Lienhart. Cassel backed up Lienhart at USC...he never started a game. Matt L got drafted first round....and Matt C in the later. Well, Matt L has just been riding the bench where Matt C lead the Patriots to an 11-5 record. I am just not a fan of taking a QB in the early rounds. They are such a vital part of an offense obviously and being a first round pick, you have to pay them first round money....same case being Matt L, he is gettin paid well for riding the bench. Just a wast IMO.

i agree 100%... besides, if your QB doesn't have the time to throw, then he'll never be good. detroit has the weapons on offense if their line can be better and that's all there is to it.

    i agree 100%..
i watched every one of the lions games last year. they have 2, possibly 3 good QB's right now.

a little 'Did you know?' for you all...

If Jon Kitna passes for at least 3,000 yards this season (he threw for more than 4,000 last year in 06 and 07) will move ahead of such QBs as Joe Namath, Ken Stabler and Terry Bradshaw.

he is also in the top 30 QB's of all time in total completions and will likely pass troy aikman and joe theisman in touchdowns with just one more season.

11-5 record looks tough, but look at the teams they played 4 teams over 50%

Hopefully they will do better this year! I wished you could pull coaches out of the draft, Dallas really needs new coaches and a new GM
