Re: new viv's
okay so the larger viv 18x18x24 isn't going to have tree frogs in it. at this point... all it has is some endlers and plants... obviously 4" of water in the bottom for the endlers.
what do you suggest i put in it? will anoles be okay with a watery bottom? anyone think of anything that will work well.
i've checked out salamanders, newts, dart frogs, water frogs and one of them seem to be what i'm looking for. i want something which will be aboreal for the most part and not need 'ground space'. AND something which, from the time of purchase can live in this enclosure and not need to be 'grown up' in another viv for a length of time.
so... any ideas?

Re: new viv's
a baby water dragon will work in that viv, but it wil need one alot larger when it is and adult.
let me think some more....
white's tree frog,monkey frogs, red eyes. the red eyes are not hard to keep at all, i had one and i just fed it crickets mainly and sometimes mealworms.

Re: new viv's
my red eye was a sub adult. i didn't know you were thinking little babies. for little ones i would use a critter keeper until big enough for a nice size viv. you could grow up some nice plants and moss in the viv, and feed the heck out of some babies frogs in the meantime. dart frogs are cool the fruit fly cultures take a little work and patience.

Re: new viv's
so.... we ended up putting three anoles and our two firebelly toads in the 18x18x24 viv... everyone is doing great. with endlers (fish) in the bottom.
we got another one the same size and put in three green tree frogs.
the other smaller vivs are holding the crested geckos and the other holds the 4 red eyed tree frogs.
man, i'm such an addict...
