Retics are so beautiful. Looks healthy and great to see him outside. Rainbow latches on to my leg when outside as well. I think it is because she sees me as safety. Either way, nice photos.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the updates from you guys.
They are a great species, but everything has to go right and fall into place to keep them.
I consider myself a very new owner, even after 2 years.
Had I had the same issues you guys dealt with I likely would have re-homed this guy.
Things seem to be going well, and with the growth slowing I'm fairly confident I can manage this fella solo even if he adds another foot.
Yesterday was a big plus as his behavior was stellar!

As I suspected, he is in the shed process.
He took to his hide a day after the photos and he only ventures out this far. He will refuse food now until the process is complete.
I like the timing of this because there is a decent chance he'll be finishing up around his June, 1st third birthday.
I will try to get outdoor pictures after a fresh shed and see what his colors look like. Reticulated pythons are one of few species of snake that seem to improve colorwise with age.
Also, notice even at a fairly substantial size, he still fits into his tortoise shell hide.
Stay tuned.
