What has been your most expensive reptile purchase so far?

After reading another thread (cost of your first snake), I thought this would be an interesting topic. I know there is a similar older thread floating around (how much would you spend on a BP), but I think it would be interesting to see what you have spent on your most expensive reptile purchase to date... Any species of reptile.

I'll start us off. My most expensive animal so far has been my GTx leachie boy Andre the giant. I purchased him January 2017 for $550 at a measly 12 grams. After having him for a year, and him growing to 164, I think it was a good investment. One day, I'm looking forward to purchasing him a female and attempting to breed.
    Currently keeping:
    1.0 BCA 1.0 BCI
    1.0 CA BCI 1.1 BCLs
    0.1 BRB 1.2 KSBs
    1.0 Carpet 0.5 BPs
    0.2 cresteds 1.2 gargs

that threads been kicking around a while and I had fun going through it. But it’s only bps I believe. I only own bps and a rat snake so I’ve maxed out at $550 so far.

Seems like peanuts when you see some of the morph market prices

A lot of mine have been in the 200-300 range for just the animal. Thats for my SD retic, granite IJ, pied ball, GHI Mojave ball, & bci. The retic, carpet, and pied were steals and bought for way less than they should have been priced.

Vet bills up to about $400-500 to save my newly adopted bearded dragon from yellow fungus, who I ended up having to put down upon discovery of her grim diagnosis. That experience ward me off from adopting any reptiles. So my most expensive animal purchase would be my ball python at $180. Most expensive habitat would be the 4 foot drag tank by Deep Blue at a good price $300 plus about $50 in supplies to build my own stand for the tank. My skink needed the upgrade badly.

But compared to my dogs care and vet bills, this is cheap lol.

Colon reduction surgery where an infection had completely blocked it.

I did have another boa pass due to cancer, there's no way to treat it in snakes sadly.

Have also had vets bills and caging bills over $1000 but I think my two tiger ATBs purchases still top the cake at $1600+/ea (back in 2010/2011)
