Do you completely clean your rat tubs?

Just wondering if everyone actually fully cleans and washes their tubs or if you just wipe out the old bedding and fill with new bedding like ralph davis. Just wondering if I am doing to much work.

I just wipe it out and fill with new. Complete cleans are pointless and take too long.

I dump out old bedding and fill with new bedding. I do wash the tubs every few months though or whenever they're really dirty, which is pretty rare.

I dump and clean well with Clorox wipes every week and add new bedding.

I dump and give them a quick wipe down with vinegar; only adds about 20 seconds per tub.

I only really thoroughly clean if they decided to play poo painter, or if they got urates on the tub itself. Those cake on so hard sometimes.

But other than that they get a dump and refill.

I didn't know rodents did that?

I change my bedding weekly and about every 3 or 4 months I bleach and scrub all of them.

HAHAHA! It was late when I replied and I was on my phone. Didn't see what section lol.

In that case I change bedding and add more 6f and water every 3 days, and only if there is a "sticky spot" of dookie do I then use Clorox wipes.

I usually dump and just hose out the tubs depending on the mess they make every 7-10 days. I keep 3-4 extra tubs to just swap over to..... cheap $6 cement tubs from Lowes.

I keep 1:3 or 1:4 in breeders in my tubs at all times. The males do not bother the babies at all, so I do not rotate males. I find when the babies are all pulled they make a good mess when the male starts breeding the females again.
