    What you think of my rock waterdish?

    I might give thought to food grade parrifin wax. Heat the dish and paint melted wax on until you get a low luster surface. It is non toxic (digestible even) and will seal the pores as well. I would suggest that porus material is harder to get the dirt out and that makes it impossible to sanitize.
