Sheds do stretch. That's why you can never tell a snakes length by the shed. My 6 1/2 foot jungle carpet had a shed over 10 feet once.

It could be a coastal but from the color to me it looks more like a jungle carpet.

Stripe down the back is consistent with Coastal markings. Could have other influence since blood lines get crossed far too often. . .

Nice Coastal, my female is an inch or two shy of 9ft now I've had her for 2 years now. She's a good snake never bit me, but has tried during feeding time haha! she'll actually come out of her boaphile and chase me for her jumbo rat.

    Re: Big girl shed

Carpets are funny, once you work with them long enough you can read them like a book. I've been keeping carpets for 2 almost 3 years now and I can read pretty much any carpet python I come across. It's funny I clean a friends collection and he keeps all carpets and swears they are all mean as heck. I can go in there, pull them out clean and change water like it's no big deal. The look on his face was priceless when I pulled out his "meanest" Jungle carpet and put her in a bin with ease so I could clean her cage.
