    Just my two cents...I think you all are over thinking it!! I would pack him a small tubberware type container with bedding, put him in the back seat and go. I just moved from Tampa FL to WA and brought my entire collection (27 BP) with me including 7 just hatched BP eggs and loaded everyone into a hatchling rack that fit in the back of the SUV. Everyone is fine and all just ate last night! They were "packed" up for over a week and in the middle of the trip I gave everyone water overnight. Other than that I just left them covered and left them alone...
    Seemed to work just fine!!

    It's gonna be in the middle of winter...heat packs would be a good thing to take...

    Hmm.. thanks for your advice. I think I might just give him to a friend while I'm gone. I call her everyday anyway, so I can just throw in "how's my snake?" when I talk to her. It's only a couple weeks. I still appreciate the transportation advice, I might need it in the future.
