Jets
With all of the trading and draft picks, do you think Mark Sanchez is the weak link for the team?

Re: Jets
I think so, but another year of NFL experience and he'll be good to go!

Re: Jets
Did they do enough to protect him in the pocket? Do you think he will ever settle down and look at the whole field, read the field, go more to his 2nd and 3rd checkdowns or will he still be singleminded? I think that could be an experience thing, but didn't they teach him this in college?

Re: Jets
I think as a rookie, he had a "decent" year....as a NY rookie...he had a "good" year. I think being one of the focal points for a NY-based team would be one of the most difficult tasks. That being said...it would be nice [for Jets fans] to see him cut his int's in half and double his TD passes this coming year.
As far as reading the field...that'll come. The AFC East is a tough division to play in...unlike the NFC West or my beloved AFC West. Although I don't think it was a good move for the Jets to get rid of Thomas Jones [I have no problem with it ]. He was responsible for much of their offensive success last year, making Mark's rookie year that much easier...eh...LT is washed up...sorry, but I have watched his decline the past 3 years in the AFC West. I think Santonio Holmes was a nice acquisition that may open the field up a bit more for Senior Sanchez.
As for their Defense...wow...now THEY will be fun to watch.

Re: Jets
I don't like Sanchez much I think he'll be an average QB in the league. The Jets and Dolphins got much better this off season the division might be the best in football. I'm very interested in seeing what LT has left also.

Re: Jets
I think the INT's and the lack of reading the field are the same problem. He gets that tunnel vision with one receiver, sometimes staring at the receiver from the snap to the pass. It's easy for any NFL defense to be able to pick off a bunch of passes when you know where the ball is going.
I can't see LT being an important part of the offense this year. Maybe he gets rejuvenated, but I don't think his body has anything left.
One thing I do know, Rex has no where to go but down. Lose a few games early on the the fans of NY will have him for dinner. If he doesn't win the division, I think most fans will think this season was a step backwards.
NY fans are tuff!!!
