Michael Vick's Possible Return to NFL

Ok, NFL Commissioner Roger Gidell is going to meet with Vick soon to determine if he has a future playing in the NFL.

If this happens I believe there will be a tiny amount of people that will not watch the NFL any longer but to me it won't make a difference or not.

I do think if I committed the things he did and spent time in confinement that I wouldn't be aloud to come back to the place of my work.

    What about you?

Also I believe that if he is let back in the league that someone maybe even a few teams would take him as a player. They might feel some heat for a period of time but it would pass.

I'm also ready to see the Animal activist go after the NFL's Corporate Partners possibly picketing them. Some of these partners include Coca Cola, Campbell Soup, Pepsi, FedEx, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, United Way, etc.

Its hard for me to say that someone who has been in jail should never get a second chance. He did something real terrible and the judge saw that he spent time in jail for it that was appropriate. Vick did his time so in the law's eyes, everything is even.

Now would I pick him up if I was an owner? Hell no. Thats too much heat and who knows how well he's gonna perform if he gets back on stage. Its gonna take a desperate team to give Vick another chance in the NFL

I wouldn't pick him up if I was an owner.

I will still watch the NFL and his games to see what he does.

Like most say, everyone deserves a second chance.

The christian side of me says he should be forgiven if he asks it BUT the worldly side of me says he shouldn't be forgiven, he shouldn't be allowed to return and he should've rotted in jail. I have VERY strong views aganist people who fight dogs so I have to be very carefull not to let that distract me from making the right choice...

    He'll play.

He'll play not because he did his time or repented or even feels guilty for what he did.

He'll play because he will make money for whomever picks him up.

And let's face it, the NFL is NOT about sportsmanship or setting good examples for our youths, it's about the allmighty dollar.

If it wasn't, there wouldn't even be a conversation about him coming back.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

Agreed! It's always about the money. I find his apologies to be hollow.

^ But that goes for all big entertainment organizations.

NFL, NBA, MLB, FIFA, WWE, UFC, NHL, PGA, etc.

Which is a rather sad statement about those who watch.

America has very poor standards for heroes.

I'm inclined to give him a 2nd chance. Every single one of us had made mistakes, granted most aren't as agregious as dog fighting. But he has served his time and I think he should be given the opportunity to play again.

He could also really use his fame and profile to become the face of anti animal cruelty and fighting, if he's really serious about believing now that what he did was wrong.

people who have done worse were let back in, so the precedent has already been set. might as well let him back in and see if any owner is crazy enough to take him. I imagine whoever does will have to deal with those crazed wackjobs at PETA doing their protest thing.
