Do you let them soak or not??

I understand having an adult and unable to soak it but if its a baby sub adult it should be soaked.

Umm. No. If anything an adult SHOULD have a big enough water source to soak in. It helps them support their body weight. You try weighing 200lbs+ and see if you would like supporting all that weight constantly.

I give my yellow a big cat litter pan to soak in and she's always in and out. She's never in either place more than the other. The way I see it is yes, they, in wild are always in the water, so its a natural thing. But I also must say that in captivity they don't even know what a lake or marsh or what ever is...so you wouldn't be taking anything away since they never had it to begin with. That being said, I like to let my girl soak as much as she wants and I also think as long as humidity is right it shouldn't matter how you keep them, with or without a "pool" to chill in. Just my 2 cents!
