Re: Getting a Leo
thanks much for the pics! I think I like the normal
The patternless is cool too but they only have normals and high golds

Re: Getting a Leo
Nice normal! I love how there's so much variation in these guys.
For whatever reason, my male patternless is super crazy calm, while my high yellow girl is okay with being handled but is still skittish. I got them both as babies, two weeks apart, and handled them both the same amount. I have no idea if this is a male/female thing, or I just have a really calm male. My two normal girls (which have both passed away) I got as adults, they were okay with being handled, but were jumpy like my high yellow girl. My male will happily lay his belly down on whatever part of you is warmest, and will let you pat his head and back like a dog. He never jumps or tries to get away, he's just content to sit calmly.

Re: Getting a Leo
Is there a difference in temperament between males and females at all? Just a thought, because I would like to have one that enjoys being held
One more question: Could I get away with just a heat lamp or is it best to get a UTH for these guys?

Re: Getting a Leo
Ok so I found a 15g long tank, at my own work haha (Pet Supplies "Plus").
The dimensions are: 24"long x 12"wide x 12"high
Would it be okay to put a baby in that as long as there are plenty of hiding places and decorations? I'd really rather not buy more than 1 tank for it but I guess I could if I had to.

Re: Getting a Leo
scratch that ^^ I'm just going to go with a 10g and get a 15 later on if needed. Alot of the caresheets I've been reading say they can comfortably live in a 10g tank so I'll go that route.
