Cool Moving day... so she finally decides to lay!

My spider girl's 45th day after shedding and she waited until the minute I wanted to put her in a moving tub to start laying! I open her tub at 8am to be welcomed by a hiss and an egg half way out of her, haha.

Managed to hold off moving her until she produced 7 perfect eggs for me - awesome for a first timer! Not had chance to candle or weigh the clutch, but both the eggs and mum got to my new place in one piece

She was paired to my butter pastel male, so fingers crossed for a queen bee! Hopefully my 4th and final clutch to come from my big fire girl, due around the middle of next week

Gratz! Not a bad thing to keep you procrastinating through something.

Go figure! Beautiful spider, by the way!

I have a girl who's "due" the weekend of the NARBC (which I'm going both days and it's a 5 hour drive for me) as well as the week I have planned to spend with my friend. My other girl is due the week before. It would be my luck that both females lay while I'm at NARBC. Oi.

Haha, or you'll spend the whole week worrying like crazy and come back to nothing I feel your pain! Good luck with both girls

Thanks everyone! Now the real wait begins...

Re: Moving day... so she finally decides to lay!

I actually travelled in the back of the moving van with the incubator - thankfully only a 5 minute trip, and the temps only dropped about 1 degree the whole time Fairly terrifying though, haha

Oh, I candled the eggs last night too - all 7 looking very fertile and healthy! Sadly my het pied x pastel het pied clutch looks to be only 1 fertile egg though...
