Re: First hatched baby
Sumatran and a Blood? Looks a lot like an SSTP. I'd like to see how the others turn out. It looks alot like its daddy, it'll be neat to see how the other hybrid baby's turn out.

Re: First hatched baby
I am in no way attempting to sound condescending with the following advice, but since it looks so much like an SSTP I would label it carefully when you decide to sell them.

Some look like red some look like borneos and some look like sumatrans its crazy. Thats the problem i am having is what should i label them as. So far i haven't found anyone who has done this before so i'm not sure what to sell them as or for. I was thinking $75 for male and $100 for females. Any advice would be apreciatted.

Re: First hatched baby
Well firstly, when you label it you must specify it as a hybrid. Sumatran STPs and Blood pythons are different species. You wouldn't want to sell it to someone as breeding stock mislabeled. I would suggest contacting a STP breeder for more information. There are quite a few experienced breeders on this site always willing to give advice

Label them as what they are and make it very clear they are crosses. The visual differences and how some look like one species and some another are exactly why some people (myself included) don't like the idea of crossing them. You know they are crosses, but what if they baby you have up gets resold as a Sumatran Short Tail (black blood)? You have no control of what happens after they leave your hands. I have now become very very cautious with my short tail purchases - while I'd like to be able to trust small breeders, I don't know that I'll be able to anymore because of the sheer numbers of crosses being produced and sold by the few that do it...

I see what you are saying aahm. I should have done some more research before i got started into this that is my mistake. But i will do my best to sell them to responsible homes taht will treat them as a hybrid.
