Mitch update

He is a little over 2 months old, and almost 3 feet. He has an amazing personality and is very friendly.

He is awesome. I don't know if all burms are like him, but he is really calm and likes to hang out. He is definitely an enjoyable pet. If you have the time and space for a large snake I would say go with a burm.

I would recommend starting with a baby if it's your first. This way you get used to the mannerisms if the snake as it grows. You will also build trust with the animal. Getting a 9 foot adult could end up being a problem. I would however recommend spending some time with the snake to get a feel for what you are looking at getting into. See how you feel about handling a large snake and taking care of one as well. You may come to realize it's not what you want. Just my 2 cents. Best of luck with whatever you decide, and of course we will need pics when you do acquire your new pet.
