    I believe the redhead is a Saurus Crane - beautiful birds, cranes . . .

    The closer-cropped gorilla shot is about as nice as any I've seen!

    i believe the crane is a sand hill crane. it's a wild animal that happens to live on the zoo grounds.

    that is a meerkat (sp?), and they had a ton of pinkies on display. i was daydreaming of a big puff adder coming along and wiping them out. one can dream can't they.

    i was pretty pumped about the gorilla pic.
