    Awww Poor Pitiful Marrok

Marrok's appointment to get neutered is tomorrow so on the vet's instructions I had to lift the dog's food dishes up at 7 p.m. tonight. Marrok isn't a big meal eater, he sort of nibbles all day long. So the poor big guy heads into the kitchen just now for his oh 12th meal or so of the day and rut roh his dish of food is gone!

There is nothing more pitiful than a big, sad Mastiff whose suddenly lost his dish full of kibble and hasn't a clue why or where it's gone.

I don't even want to think about what happens the first time he goes to lick himself! What a shock!

    Aww poor guy.

On another note my dog used to eat like that until I switched her from Innova Evo to an all raw diet. She now finishes her meal in under 10 seconds. For the life of me I cannot figure out how she does it.

    Re: Awww Poor Pitiful Marrok

Andrew, after we got Marrok I actually joined a big dog forum and have been avidly reading about raw feeding for dogs. It's pretty interesting stuff and definitely something I want to consider for Marrok and Bella. Marrok's underweight and a lifelong poor eater from what his previous owners told me so if that would help bring him up to better condition it certainly interests me. Glad to hear you're having such a great experience with it. What sort of dog do you have if you don't mind me asking.

Oh hush Ed LOL. Mike is feeling bad enough for Marrok as it is. You men!

We just got back from the vet and Marrok did pretty good. He was hyped up but he only grumbled at the vet and didn't make any attempt to snap. I was a bit worried about this because he's a powerful young adult male dog that I have no real history of how he reacts to vets but he did fine. The vet gave him a shot of something that basically dropped him like a load of bricks. Didn't put him right to sleep but Marrok went from hyped up and nervous to "well hello there how are you I think I'll just lay down now". Never seen anything act that fast...wow!

We're supposed to phone at 3 p.m. and see if he's ready to come home or has to spend the night.
