What light bulbs do you use for a light tent...

I would like to know what kind of light bulbs you use for your light tents and where you can get them? Thanks!!!

I buy mine at home depot. It's listed under the sticky thread "DIY photo tent" in BP pictures what kind of brand they are. But they rock!!!

Yup, them be the ones! I buy the two pack, for around $7.

The N:Vision is the brand name.

    I use

    http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?actio...062&lpage=none

    But the 90w version.

I cannot find it on their site, but it is in the store.

It runs at 3500K So it is probably one of the "whitest" lights you can get.

On a side note....I think that the DIY Lightbox should be in the DIY section...not the BP section.

people use light tents for more than just BP's

At the time I wrote it, there wasn't a photography section. I'm sure the mods would move it if asked.

Here is what I use http://www.meritline.com/one-shot-ph...--p-25410.aspx came complete with everything I needed , (one of the few times when I did not feel like the DIY type thing )

Now all I need is a new camera since mine is slowly dying.

Re: What light bulbs do you use for a light tent...

Okay, so I went to home depot today with my wife and youngest son. I ended up getting the n:vision 2 pack bright light bulbs. They are 100 watts ea, 3500k (I checked for this, thanks Pat), the light output is 1500, energy used is 23 watts and the life hours per bulb is 10,000. I ended up getting two packs because I have three lights and thanks to Deborah I looked around for a premade light tent and found one that was $36 shipped and came with two light stands, a camera tripod and 4 different back grounds. The only thing about it is the tent is only 16x16x16 so I hope that is large enough (will be for my leos but I hope it is large enough for my ball pythons). I bought a 10 1/2" dome light like in Connie's DIY for the front of the tent (I am hoping that isn't too big, and I am going to have to figure out a way to get it to stay in place). Thanks everyone for your help!!!!!!!!
    Jeff Bernard
