How often to feed a baby ball?

I was just wondering how often i should feed my new guy. Every 5 or 7 days? I feed my adults every 7, but i had read to feed the babies every 5. Just wondering what everyone else does. Thanks Jeff

Re: How often to feed a baby ball?

I feed babies every 5 days because I can see them hungry cruising after 5 days. I feed every 5 days until they are 500g and then switch to every 7 days.

We feed all our hatchlings twice a week til they are 500-600g, then they go onto larger prey item, once a week.

Re: How often to feed a baby ball?

I feed hatchlings and juvies every 5 days until they start to refuse on a consistent basis on a 5 day schedule. They are then moved to once every 7 days.

When I say refusing consistently, just basically, I don't necessarily switch them if they skip just one meal and resume feeding every 5 days consistently after that. They could have just had an off day that particular feeding day. I prefer to see a pattern of refusal on a 5 day schedule before moving to a 7 day schedule.

I feed babies every five days, and switch to every seven days when they reach around 300 grams.
