7/8 Senate Hearing: Threats to Native Wildlife

Here's a link to a Senate page that has video feed of today's senate hearing:

Scroll down to the archived webcasts and there's a link to today's hearing. Senator Nelson went on at great length warning us all about Burmese pythons.

Adam has a summary posted at nohr669, it's a better recap than I can give since I was listening at work. Senator Inhofe's did make some comments to the effect that any legislation has to take into account the impact it will have on the pet trade, sports fishing, etc, which was encouraging. A whole lot of bat disease and zebra muscle discussion, plus Senator Nelson's anti-python pitch. If you don't have time to watch the whole thing you could just watch his time.

Also, Nelson picked up a cosponsor yesterday, Senator Carl Levin (Democrat, Michigan).
