Post What are my rights as a reptile owner in Nj?

Ok so i think the laws are on here

    http://www.nj.gov/dep/fgw/pdf/permregs.pdf

& I don't really understand...any of that..so can you tell me if i need a license or anything to have my reptiles? I have 3 ball pythons, A king, A bearded dragon, A bull frog and im planning on getting two more ball pythons soon. So can someone help me to understand my rights as a reptile owner? I'll be 17 next month. I live in Newark But I'm moving to belvidere in a month. Also, How do I go about getting the permit if i need one?

Yes, to be in compliance with the law you would need to obtain a permit yearly for each reptile you own. Do most people do that? Not likely...

I live in NJ also. I had to get a permit for my ball pythons. $100 bucks a year.
Its actually one permit that covers all non venomous reptiles.

How would I get a permit I.own 4 ball pythons and I know I need to show the documentation or that temperary permit u get when u purchase the snakes. I got one but it expired the other balls came from a local breeder in newton so I don't have that and I think I can't get a permit if I don't show them the pink slips.
