For those who know me I'm no newb...

But I need confirmation that I just got a yellowbelly. It has the look of one at least to me and was purchased from some one who I USED to help out but since the care of his animals has diminished I decided not to help anymore. She IS a wc import but has the typical yellowbelly characteristics. High flames, checkered belly, head spot. Just take a look and tell me what u think[IMG][/IMG]

Re: For those who know me I'm no newb...

I would say no. The belly just doesn't do it for me.

She's not w/c, she's CH(hatched in Africa, shipped over here).

I say no because her belly doesn't have the look. Wait 3 years, breed her and find out!

I'll pair her up with a yb in a couple of years and see if there is something going on there.

Re: For those who know me I'm no newb...

Congrats on a beautiful snake! After looking through the Hunters Guide I'd say you have a YB. I say this because:

    1. "Granite speckling on stomach"(I guess not the best example but its there).
    2. "Bright Flames, that start on the stomach"(they seem to start from the stomach).
3."High Yellow Body pigment, concentrated on the lower sides"(I see this too).
    4. "Faded head marking"(you seem to have this also).

The guide does say "There are many more variations, but they all follow the same rules."

Theres only one way to know for sure, good luck on your future project!

Re: For those who know me I'm no newb...

It is a beautiful snake but the "yellow belly" part of a yellow bellied ball python is missing from that animal (IMO) So I agree with SatanicIntention. You may not be a newb but even the pro's need some advice and guidance sometimes.
