    It's raining rats this weekend

A few of my babies/juvies needed their weekly rations and the camera was nearby.

Sort, label and thaw out rats:

Next, set up feeding shelves, get heat going, load up and watch how my docile little critters turn into ferocious little monsters:

    Everything goes really well:

Still going well and then ... it had to come:

It doesn't matter what container I put her into, but Priscy will literally jump up as soon as the drawer of the shelf or the lid on a box is moved. She's one of five "jumpers" that turn feeding into an adventure for me.

    Incredible snakes!

Would I ever get in trouble for thawing rats in the sink!

In my case: DID I ever get into trouble! - That was until I bagged them up individually and let them float in the bath tub. Hubby has the funny morning shower habit, and I arranged to throw them in just before he got out off bed. Since then thawing rats in the sink is not a problem anymore.

Bitsy is actually one of the very few snakes that I did not plan on having. I didn't like lessers at all (they looked to me like they got the alternative bleach treatment and it didn't take too well ).
I visited with a friend (breeder) who handed me a large female without saying what morph it was and I was just blown away by the pastel yellows and cinnamon browns. When he said he had a clutch from her ... well, there was Bitsy.
