    HELP with acurite thermom. Hydrometer

How do I read this thing?? It says IN is 82 when my room temp is 80. Its says OUT is 80 degrees and Humidity at 58%. I just opened it and put a battery in it....btw, what do I look at the out or in?

Ok, the IN temp is the ambient temp around the unit.
The OUT temp is the temp the probe is reading.

If you just started it up, you should wait a while for the unit to get warmed up. If it's still showing odd readings after a day of use, you might have gotten a faulty one.

Well make sure you have everything placed correctly and then let it settle for an hour and then check the temps.

The probe measures the OUT or hotside temp. Place the probe on the hot side right on the glass over the UTH. This will then measure the hottest point your ball python can get to.

Then place the entire accurite unit on the cool side, you can use the little stand to prop it up. The unit measures the cool side and the humidity. The IN temp is the cool side temp.

    hope this helps

It might take an hour or two to fully heat up.
