    Question Is it ok????

I was wondering if it is ok to house bp's together for a short time period? I am supposed to be getting my new rack next weekend but I am getting 2 more snakes tomorrow. And I only have 4 tubs right now and 4 snakes! I wish my rack would have gotten here when it was supposed to but had a few complications. And the guy is coming here with the snakes tomorrow to do a trade! Will they be ok for a week?? There is plenty of room in the tubs I have now cause they are 40qt tubs and the snakes I have already are all 500 grams or less. I just don't want to put the snakes in jeopardy! I do have extra tubs and uth's so i could house them in there for the time being untill my rack gets here but they won't fit in the homemade rack I built. So they would have to be in my room somewhere. I guess I should quarunteen them anyways so I might just do that. But would like to know if ever in the future I needed to house together if they would be fine???

    I don't ever suggest it.

Respiratory issues (drooling, wheezing, clicking, blowing bubbles) , unusual bowels and urates, weight loss, neurological problems, sky-gazing.

Some quick overview of things I look out for. I'm mainly watching for an RI or IBD before introducing to my collection. I personally take a stool from a new animal to a vet to get checked for parasites as well.

CB snakes can have parasites too. It can happen anywhere.

Forgive me for posting Melissa Kaplan's website, but this is a good page.

It's very contagious (by air) and could kill an entire collection within a month.

    Re: Is it ok????

It is VERY important you quarinteen your new snakes! There are people who have lost their ENTIRE collection because of one mistake of not quarinteen animals. NOTHING is more disturbing than to have an animal die on you, then another, then another, and never knowing, unless you cough up some serious $$$$, what it is!

I have had the misfourtian of housing 2 "female" balls togeather just to see them lock and your breeding year go down the tubes because of an unexpected daddy. They where only in the tub for a few minutes while cleaning.... BIG mistake.
