White sided rat snake

After my baby passed away last year (or beginning of this year - I don't quite remember which) I went along heartbroken for a while. Then I saw this girl in a store. I checked on her every Sunday when I went in for feeders and for several months no one bought her.

Then one Sunday I came in and was surprised by my boyfriend who bought her for me! I was so happy. ((hugs to him))

She's a brat, but good when she wants to be. She HATES when you mess with her stuff (which I did today since it was cleaning day) and she doesn't tolerate being handled on feeding day - she'll nip you. Today was feeding day. So I wasn't about to try to pick her up under those two circumstances. But I did get a few photos.

I was told she's 2 or 3 years old. She doesn't have a name yet.

that's a white sided black rat snake, right? just asking cause so many people keep whitesided rat snakes and don't even know what species they are!!! or if they are hybrids or pure. She looks a lot like my female whitesided obsoleta, very clean white with pale back stripe. My male is more dirty looking, and evil at that! he bites at his own shadow
