sigh
My stupid sister went to a lake, left with a net, and came back. I walk into my room to see that there is a 1.5" baby northern pike/pickerel in my 10 gallon fish tank......my ONLY fish tank....
Obviously you see the my problem.
Not only did she commit over 5 state crimes by bringing this fish home(no license, fishing with a net, undersized keep, transporting water, transporting live fish...i live in wisconsin so we have the VHS enforcement laws), I do not have the means of keeping it alive and healthy, at least not for very long.
wtf

Re: sigh
I'd guess that you or her need to put it back, IF you are certain that your tank is clean, without any pathogens.
If ANY fish has been in the tank, or is in the tank, I would suggest euthanizing the fish, and keeping mum about it. Sad, but you can't keep it, and you would not want to risk introducing ANYTHING into the natural environment.

Yeah, I will have to do that. Any suggestions on methods of doing so?

Re: sigh
You should probably google "humane euthanasia of fish" and see what sounds best to you.

He is a beast, I seriously think we might have to put him on a diet. He eats anything and everything we put in there, and has about tripled in size in the few weeks we have had him.

Re: sigh
That would make me so angry if anyone put anything in my tank randomly. That someone would probably be getting punched in their no-no place if that was my tank.
