    Two hognose questions

Ok, sooooo, i have two questions only because i couldn't pass up an offer on two cages that i had.
I recently received a bunch of plastic works cages that are sectioned off into 24 x 24 x 16 in.
First, i have a malagasy hognose but i want to use a good bedding. I wanted to use some coconut husk bedding (like the bad-a-beast but generic). I was hoping that would be fine for bedding but figured i'd ask, i've been using paper towels until now.
Secondly, do you think that size will be too big for a western hognose? i want to utilize the cages and figured i would ask if you thought that cage would be too big.
    Any advice?

That size would not be too big for an adult Western. If it's a young one just make sure there are lots of hides and thick enough bedding that it can burrow to feel secure. Bed a Beast type might be okay as long as you don't keep it too damp. I like aspen for hognose, but never kept a Malagasy.

    Thank you.
I just wanted to make sure that would not be too large for a western. I guess it's the equivalent of a 40g breeder and i never thought to put my westerns or mexicans in anything bigger than a 20L.
Any other bedding ideas you might suggest? I currently use crushed walnet shell (don't bash me for it, been using it for 10+ years without incident) but i'm getting tired of the 'look.'
