Does anyone want to do some research on marijuana?

I figured that title would get your attention.

Here is why I ask... a friend told me that a US Supreme Court case determined that the US Constitution prohibits the Federal government from regulating "transportation across state lines" unless it has something to do commerce. This apparently was a case where a person had a small amount of marijuana that was for their own personal use, and since they had no intention of selling it, it wasn't commerce. My friend thought it was probably 3-5 years ago.

This might at the very least save our pets for those people who own an animal that becomes banned and later move to a different state. But hopefully it might help win some congressmen to our side. Some people who could care less about pets might get all fired up about an unconstitutional law.

Re: Does anyone want to do some research on marijuana?

You know that sounds very likely to be true..

The no transporting law really is what scares me the most if this law gets passed, because that would essentially mean that I would have to break the law or euthanize my pets as I am 90% sure I will move sometime in the next 10 years. That is not a decision I want to make.

I'll do some looking around and see what I can scrounge up.
