    New Gopher snake!!

    I got her at White Plains today. She is 6 years old. Twas love at first sight!

    Cane Gopher Snake (Pituophis catenifer vertibralis)

    I have to say, she is a mean looking snake

    At first glance I thought there were three snakes in the picture. The pattern is very hot, nice pick-up

    That is just what my boyfriend said too, something about her eyes looking mean!

    But "au contraire" she is as docile as a lamb, even without frequent handling.

    edit: There is a typo in the OP. It is a Cape Gopher, not a Cane Gopher.

    She has awesome coloration, especially near the tail. Great pickup.

    Isn't it amazing the coloration and patterns you see in non-morphed animals?

    Mexican lined gophers and cape gophers exhibit colors and patterns on par with morphs costing much more money.
