Alright figured I would tell a little about myself. Im 26 years old my wife Amber is 25 we have 3 wonderfull children. Nathaniel our oldest is 5 then we got Zayden 2 1/2 and our baby girl is Tamryn she is 15 months old. I have owned Reptiles all my life and snakes since I was 12. Growing up a Ball python was my first snake as it is for many. My love for snakes grew fast and when i was 16 I had 8 snakes taking up my top bunk that was all snake cages. When I went to move out of my Parents house relizing I will be living in a apartment i got rid of all my snakes but one I kept my 8' red tail boa. Well after a few years Amber and I got together when I went to move in with her she made it clear no snakes. Dispointed yes but I understood and I loved her.

Well after moving in with her I got into the hobby of cichlids not being able to own Snakes I needed somthing. Here is were it all turns around. 2 weeks ago my wife brings up that she wants a Ball python and there is one on craigslist. You can bet my eyes lit up but at the same time I was like hold on now I cant have snakes but you can go get one. Her response was you had a 8' Snake and it was still growing I just didnt want that big of snake in house with kids. Wishing she would have told me that detail before cause Ball pythons have always been my favorites anyways haha. Anyways we went checked out the Ball python upon sexing it found out it was a Male he is 1200 grams and a 05. We picked him up.

That Night I discussed with my wife more about Ball pythons and I agreed to sell off 75% of my cichlid collection to start getting ball pythons again. It has now been 2 weeks I have a 12 level rack orderd 1.0 05 Normal, 0.1 06 normal , 1.0 07 Pastel , and 0.1 06 Spider. We have a rat rack built with 2.4 rats. Bowls, hides and everything you might need for Ball pythons. We also have a Reptile expo here in Omaha to hit up tomorrow and see what they have. So now the adiction starts again.

I may have lots of questions on genetics related stuff since I never learned about that before owning snakes thats all new to me but im catching on quik. Might also have questions about husbandry cause that is new as well but I do know more than the average person about it. I only kept snakes for pets before now I plan on raising and breeding and having fun with what I have always loved and drreamed of doing. On the plus side the wife is getting into this as well so its somthing we can do together and we will have lots of fun doing it. Our username is just our initials Jeremey Amber Gregg J_A_G.

HAHA. Awesome, welcome to the site, and welcome back to the hobby. I had a girl that I was pretty serious about, then she brought up me selling my Yellow Anaconda & my White Lip Python and and and wait, my motorcycle? WTH? Who does she think she is?!?!?!?!? Needless to say I still have my Anaconda, now I have a rufous beaked snake & tim has my white lip python, and well my motorcycle is in the shop getting repaired because I laid it down. lol
