so you all have me wondering...morph?

The ship date for my BP has been moved to Wednesday so he will be here Thursday now, any way reading more about morphs I was wondering what would you call the BP I am getting. The breeder didn't make any claims about morphs, only saying this
This male is phenomenal. He looks alot in some ways like a black pastel, but his belly pattern is STRANGE to say the least. There is no telling just what he "might" produce if paired with the right female
here is the link to the OP where his pics are.

I feel like such an ogre all the time...

... nice looking snake, but I would not bank on it being anything but a normal.

That is what would be called a "dinker" project, basically you breed a snake that looks like it *MAY* have something going on. But these tend to be 3 years or longer projects before you can prove them out.

Some people get lucky, but... I would not bank on it.

Do you have the time and resources to breed him, hold back all the daughters, raise them up to breeding weight, and then breed them all back to dad, and provide for all the offspring? Figure out all of that and then decide if you are going to take a chance on a snake that is most likely a normal.

And to be honest, it does not look like a black pastel (to me at least).

What I left out... he is a really nice looking snake though. Very sharp. And I think you could do some great selective breeding with him. Accentuate traits in a similar female etc.

So if you are up to it, it could be a great project.

No it's ok. We won't be breeding him. I got a good deal on him and I thought he looked "different enough". Normal is fine I like his look, and his pattern. He is just a pet for me.

no matter what it is or produces, it is a hot snake. would be awesome if you could breed him to something and brighten up the sides to an almost bright yellow and have the offspring keep the black. That would be a HOT snake.

That was great!!! Pretty boy though. He is deffinately a unique normal. AND every morph out there came from a normal, except for some of the recessives. I think we all know what an Albino looks like. But, you never know whats in those genes.
