automatic water system problems...help
Ok I opened and cleaned out each valve and when i purge the last one it sounds like their is air in the line. Also now i get a different valve that is leaking. Its like musical chairs.I have even changed the tubing and still getting the same problem.I need help asap..........Getting frustrated with this system but beats filling up with bottles.Does the bucket have to much higher than the rack? Like I stated before just started leaking out of nowhere and now i can;t get it to stop. Thanks

where is the leaker leaking from?
if it sounds like there is air in the line just wait till you dont hear that sound anymore.
per edstrom directions the bucket should be 12"-36" above the cage.
i dont use that i typically go roughly 6"

I flush it out till the air is gone but after that it just keeps leaking even if i tighten the valve all the way. Then like I said if its not the last one it goes to another one..........very weird. Is their a way to test the tubing to make sure i don't have any pinholes on it?

Re: automatic water system problems...help
Regardless if it has a pin hole, it isn't a closed vacuum system like a water bottle so it shouldnt make a difference. Sounds like you just need to tweak the valves tight enough until they release a low flow.
And also, might be a good idea to bleed the lines equally to get the air out.
Also, if you opened all the valves, did you put them back together correctly? If you tighten them all the way, they should NOT be leaking at all. Might have defective valves.

it could also be a diaphram issue

Re: automatic water system problems...help
when I drain the lines do I drain each line to each valve . I have one of those concrete tub racks with 5 tubs .So i would drain all 5 correct and really tighten up the sippers?

I would tighten them all up, and loosen them to get a stream you like.
To bleed the lines, I'm pretty sure you just hold the valve open with your finger until you get a steady stream of water. Try starting from the bottom first.

Where did you get your valves from and how much did you pay for them?
