Snake dance?

My spider likes to explore, and when he's roving around he almost always has his head held a good 6-8 inches in the air. He's my little periscoper.

Anyways, when he gets really into exploring, he'll start to kind of 'twist' his head around in a circular motion, and he swings it up and down and around, and for the majority of it, his head is up-side-down.

I realize spiders have a head shake, and this is definately not a shake. It's more like a dance than anything else.

What is he doing, or why is he doing it?

ya thats ur snakes wobble. google ball python wobble and the videos there can show u how it affects different snakes

Its called the corkscrew!! Part of the whole thing..some have more wobble some have more corkscrew. But dancing is a way to look at it...

haha, alright. I had been suspecting that it might have had something to do with the spider gene, but my other spider only has a slight head tilt, and I've never seen once "dance" as much as my little guy.

every snake with the spider gene will be affected differently. some dont have it ever, some always have it, some have it as hatchlings and with age it gets better and vice versa. they were born with it and that is normal to them so they dont mind, they dont know any different.
