Hello from rainy and sunny Florida
Hey all,
I bought my first boa this past Sunday, though I haven't picked him up yet as I need to finish setting up his new home. I was originally going to get geckos, but I think I will be much happier with a snake. I've wanted one for several years, and my sister has really helped to get me into this business of having a reptile. She's also the one that recommended this site; she spoke pretty highly of this forum.
My boa is from the Solomon Islands, but I'm still not a hundred percent sold on whether it's a tree or ground snake. I've been looking at a lot of threads and pictures, but until I have him here with me I won't know for sure. He's real calm and docile.
A bit about me: native Floridian originally from Miami; marine tech (I get dirty working on rich people's toys); student - went back last year to finish my Journalism degree; and freelance photographer and writer. I also practically live on my motorcycle.
Talking about myself bores me, so let me get down to exploring the boards some more. I think I've already read every recent thread in the tree boa forum, lol...

And there she is now, my sis the lady
I'm probably bringing my boa home on Thursday, since some things got moved around for me this week. As yet unnamed, by the way... It's funny, if he were a she I'd have a dozen names to choose from by now.
