Hello fellow snake lovers!!
hey everyone!! my name is danielle and I live in Alaska. I am going to be 18 years old in march. I have loved reptiles me whole life but just yesterday I was able to get my first snake. I got a little baby Ball Python. he is about 14-16 inches long. I dont know what sex it is, and im not experienced enough to pop it or probe it or anything. I have a friend on youtube who told me to send her a picture of its tail and she thinks its a male, but I dont know. so yeah. My ball python's name is Maxwell, and he is a complete sweetheart. the pet store i got him from really knows a lot about and cares for their reptiles very well, and they had me put him in my front coat pocket on the way home to keep him warm, he was exploring inside my coat the whole ride home. when i got him out to put him in his new tank after i set it up he wasnt balled up or anything, he was just slithering around on my hands and arms checkin things out, i put him in his tank and hes doing great! im so excited to have him and i am looking forward to get all kinds of great information and help from this forum! Maxwell says hes excited to be here too!! here is a picture I took of maxwell last night when he was being cute playin peek a boo

Welcome to the site.
Might be helpful to read some of the stickies on setting your snake up and how to meet his husbandry requirements.
Now that you have him home give him a good week to settle in and acclimate.
Congrats on the new snake he is very cute!
Bruce
PS: You cannot sex a BP by looking at the tail... bit of a myth.
