    Hairless rat with dandruff?

My hairless dumbo rat seems to be peeling (like a human would with dandruff) on her feet and on her face and head. Anyone know what's going on? Thanks guys

    Re: Hairless rat with dandruff?

What are you feeding her? What bedding are you keeping her on? Is she staying hydrated enough? Have you checked her for mites?

I would take her to a veterinarian, personally. Skin problems can be an indicator of kidney problems, as well as other things.

    Re: Hairless rat with dandruff?

Found this link in Google for you (there were a lot there so I'd suggest checking more out for various ideas). Dry skin on these rats does seem to be a common and fairly easily addressed issue.
