    Creases?

I just have a quick question. Last weekend, I picked up a 5yr old male RTB for some guy who didn't want him any more. He is a very sweet snake. Well, he came to me with a RI that I'm working on right now and seems to be going away. I believe the RI was a result of him being kept in poor conditions, and my vet said that just keeping him clean and his temps up should work.

Another thing I noticed but never really looked into until now, is what appear to be areas on his body where the scales seemed to be creased [like several lines where the scales look like they were folded in half]. I didn't worry much about it because he seems fine, but am just curious to what this is, if it is normal or something else caused from his previous owner.

I would post a pic but hes out right now and would rather explore than sit still for a pic

my rtb has the same thing. I don't know why and the vet didn't seem concerned about it. Our RTB was a rescue as well. Maybe it is normal?

If it is just the scale seems a bit folded, it may be from him laying in a tight ball, or having a sharp turn in his body while he was sleeping. I've seen the slightly bent scales on my balls before that have just come from they laying funny and it will bend the scales some. Just my opinion. If you think it is something more serious, I would ask the vet about it.

Alright thanks, I'm assuming it is normal because my vet checked him out for the RI and didn't say anything about them. I just find it weird, they aren't just bent, they're folded lol
