Have you ever seen this before???
I'm usually up on stuff like this, but I just noticed one of my animals has... what looks like heat pits on her CHIN!
I've never noticed it before, and wanted to know...
Do any of you out there have this on your animal?
I'm shocked!

Interesting....
Do the holes go all the way into the head? Or do they look like indentations in the skin? From the pic it looks like they are just small dips, kinda like what happens to your face when you sleep face down on your pillow.....

They go all the way into the head... Its not holes thru to the mouth, but they are very very similar to heat pits..

Thats a new one on me hun but I will be checking all the kids in the morning lol. Does it seem to hurt her if you touch the general area?

Not really.. She has always been head shy, and maybe she is just extra sensitive due to having more heat pits?

Wow please keep us updated. I'll try to do some research as I've never heard of a snake having Heat pits on the bottom of there jaw line, but I will see if i can find anything out Heather. She seems ok as far as you can tell though?
