Some pics from work! (El Paso Zoo)

A few pics I've taken while at work. Unfortunately our Reptile Exhibit is closed for renovations so no pics of them at the moment. As soon as it reopens I'll definitely put some up though.

    Mexican Wolf

    American Alligator Male

Not an animal on display, just a Grey Squirrel who hangs out.

Henry, male Orangutan- He turned 18 yesterday!

    Sushi, female California Sea Lion

One of our female sheep looking angry..
Some colubrids, some BP's, some Boas, fishes, cats and dogs..

Thanks.. yeah that poor alligator. We also have a female and that wound on his snout was caused by her taking a nasty chomp at his face. They've been separated for a while now and he's all healed up. They're gonna be reintroduced on Tuesday so I'll be sitting around doing "observation" making notes and making sure they don't go at it again. Don't know what I'll be able to do if they fight again.. lol

Nice pictures! I remember when the El Paso Zoo was very old looking and only had the one elephant Mona. I haven't been there in decades. Looks like they've renovated some. Thanks for sharing! Aww I miss the food in El Paso!

OMG... you work there?? Wow...looking at those pics is like turning back the clock. Man that Ali got big! I remember him when he was just a little guy! And Henry... wow! We've got Nias, I believe, here at the Denver zoo and she recognized me!

Yes, I worked there. As a volunteer, but being trained to be a keeper. I shadowed in Americas and the Paraje mostly. Is Cisco still there? And Bart? Man I miss those guys...Sunny used to come up whenever I passed by, and the big catfish in the Tropics Building would brush up against the glass when I'd put my hand up.

But, I digress. Those are some good pictures. I'm glad they're finally renovating that old reptile house.
