Finally Got One!!!

Last week we picked this girl up from a local breeder. She's about 15 inches long and is probably the coolest snake I've ever held. She isn't shy at all, she could really care less if you look at her in her tank. I love it cause the corns and our BP are kinda shy and just sort of freeze when you look at them. She hasn't hissed, flattened out, or struck at us. We left her alone for the last week, except to feed her on Sunday, which she took a good sized fuzzy no problem. Since it had been a week, my wife was dying to take her out this morning and I snapped a few pics. Sorry, some are a little blurry as she moves around quite a bit. BTW, her name is Eve.

Hognose snakes are so cool!!!

I was about to get one at the NARBC show but when I was looking at them there was a snow x emoryi rat snake in the same glass case and it had the weirdest pattern so I got that instead.

thanks for the kind words. Our Hoggie is a funny little thing. When I try to get her out she hisses faintly, but otherwise acts like she could care less. My wife doesn't believe me cause she will not hiss when my wife's around. I got hissed at three times last night, my daughter and I were laughing. As soon as my wife walked over, she didn't hiss again. My wife took her from me and said I was crazy. I love this snake and we're lookin' for at least one more.
