    hardware cloth???

I have my racks built but I did not install hardware cloth on the bottom tub of each rack, I am trying to decide if I should install 1/4cloth for this tub because I plan on putting my weanlings/juveniles in there and dont want any escapes. I used 1/2 on every other tub, let me know what you think. Thanks in advance

I dont believe my weanlings will squeeze thru the 1/2", but I have heard some people say theirs do.

My hoppers are a half inch, and i routinely find the little demons sitting inside the hoppers having their little ASF festivals.

    1/4 for mice and ASF

    1/2 for rats

If you use 1/2 for asf the hoppers can squeeze through and trust me the last thing you want is to try to catch escapee asf

so tru i had 7-9 get out when the cats knocked over their tub, caught all of them only to have the cats knock it over again. got most of them back couple still run around tho. gives the cats something to earn their pay.

Yes ½ is fine for the adults but if you have babies all the time you might want to put ¼ right away so you don’t have to move them back and forth.

    Re: hardware cloth???

I use the 1/4" on all my ASF tubs. I was a little worried it would be too hard for them to eat through it but they get at the food ok. Maybe it keeps them a little busier than 1/2" would but I also have no escapes.
