Yup - that sounds about right - $5 each. Just a year or two ago, they were $50 for a trio.

i pay $2.00 each for a certain number and $1.50 for over a specific number ..

$5.00 each is im sorry but to me outrageous ..

they sell at shows around here for $2.50 ea.

5 bucks may sound like alot but if no one else around has them you are kinda S.O.L... Id buy 2 trios maybe try and see if you can get the females that are already pregos. In about 4 months you will have plenty.

I know what you are saying. But its supply and demand...It sucks. I paid 175 for gas in Ct and went to the White Plains reptile show and gas was 245.... Different prices for different places.

It really wasn't that crazy then. Only a very few people had them, they were VERY hard to come by. Supply and demand.

As far as making the 3 hour trip and it being worth it, it's really up to you to decide that.

It does take some time before you'll even see your first litter. My most recent 1.3 I got about six weeks ago and the first female is about to have her first litter. You want to get them young so that you can have more litters, but it takes them some time to mature to have their first litters.
