New here
Well I am new to the forum but not so new to the Ball Phythons. I have owned them for about a year now. I took care of them and other reptiles all through high school which made me fall in love with the guys. Currently I have 1 Red Tail Boa thats 6 feet and 4 Ball Pythons ranging from 4 feet to my little 18" baby. I just started getting interested in breeding them and have been doing alot of research. I havent evan tried to sex my own snakes so Im not sure what they are yet. Is there any good article or video showing how to? What I have read from the books just dont tell me enough for me to be comfortable doing it.
Also one of the Ball Pythons I have has me puzzled. I dont have a book on all the Morphs and I havent found a place online with them all So i havent had any luck finding much on him. He/she is lighter then the rest of them and on the side it dont have all the little alien heads like the others do. Would anyone know what it could be. I would get a pic but I dont have a camera at the moment. Thanks

Re: New here
Hi and
Here are some video that will teach you how to sex your snakes.
YouTube - 8 Ball Pythons - Popping Lessons
YouTube - PRO Poppin.........yeah booyeeeeeee
As far as your BP you can post a picture and we will be happy to tell you what it is
Also remember that while he might not look like the other BP you own it is most likely a normal (normal come in different shades of colors from high gold to dark brown, and also with different patterns from very busy to reduced pattern)

Re: New here
I have a feeling hes normal but I will get a pick up ASAP. It just has me puzzled on how light he is compared to the others. Also how hard is it to pop them? Its just slight pressure right?

It really depends on the size of the snake, with an hatchling right out of the egg a slight pressure is enough, as they get older they get more control so it becomes harder.
The more you practice the better you will become at it and if you are not confident have someone in your area show you how it is done.
