    where ive been

Some back story on this horse... his name is Pokey (registered snowproof), I leased him approx 8yrs ago and he was sold to a girl named Ashley (ironic huh) who has had him since... she was a girl who I was a camp leader at the local stable for years, her parents bought her a horse and that horse was pokey.. i had kept tabs on him and talked to ashley over the years but got cought up in life, kids, work, exc and we didnt really keep in touch more then a friendly hello/goodbye every once in awhile, she always told me i was free to come out and ride whenever i wanted and i took her up on that offer maybe once a year, well i got the nerve up to ask and we went riding, we had an amazing time and it relite the burnt out flame of my passion for not only horses in general but pokey. Ashley had gone out of town this week and left Pokey for me to care for and ive spent every afternoon out there with him... the boys LOVE pokey and ethan LOVES riding soooo much!!! For those who are horse savy hes over 17HH and Ethan could easily walk under his belly.. hes HUGE but the biggest softy you will ever meet, he really loves the kids and is sooo patient with them. My friend Ashley boards Pokey at a beautiful farm (few and far between in south florida to have grass turnout, pastures, exc) that has a ton of acreage and BEAUTIFUL photo spots...

ethan in a HUGE (its actually elliotts) cowboy hat

ethan gets SO EXCITED!!! this photo really makes me smile

i have a few of me riding him ill add them later on, they are on my "myspace" already

Aww your boys are too cute

I miss riding so much, I haven't ridden in 9 years. Pokey is beautiful btw, and yes he is a big boy. My neighbors had a horse that was about that size and he was so fun to ride, even though you felt like a giant on him!

    Re: where ive been

Thanks everyone!!! my internet has been down for a couple days so its sooo nice to get inet back and see all your comments. Pokey is such a good boy, I went for a 2hr bareback trail ride today on him and had a great time.. im really in my element when im out riding, some people meditate, others find relaxation at the beach.. mine is simply horseback. I cant wait to go out tomorrow and go riding again, im kinda sad ashley is due to come back sunday lol. The barn property and neighboring property is so beautiful.. its really one of a kind, its so so so hard to find stables down here with decent turnout.

Fireball, were about 1˝hrs from wellington, that city is $$$ and has some amazing land, horses, riders, exc. Truly the "horse" city of south florida. I could never in my lifetime afford board in wellington. This is in Southwest Ranches Florida.. its a 20 mile drive from home, thank God fuel has gone down.. i would be broke with the fuel ive burned going on there everyday lol.

Weve actually had the cowboy hats for years, Elliott even has some CUTE cowboy boots but didnt want to wear them that day.. shoot our house is horsified too.. i have my favorite pair of spurs sitting on my entertainment center and framed photos of some of our former horses.
