    I like Pepper...

Our new adopted doggie that is.. . We adopted her this past weekend from the local no kill shelter. She's about 2-5years of age, was a stray found wandering the streets in a neighboring county. They say she's a GSD/terrier/pit mix.. and from the looks of her I'd say she does have some bully breed in her. But enough babble for now.. let me introduce Pepper.

    Pepper with Dana and Matthew.

Aww...she looks like a sweetie. If you hadn't given an age I would have said she was older. We had a dog that went grey in the face like that when she got really old.

Aww, in the third picture she looks so blissed out to have found her very own pack. Way to go!!

who knows how accurate the age is... but i would guess she is closer to the age of 5 due to all the grey in her face and muzzle. I wonder how many breeds get grey in the face earlier than others.

thanx. We had a few issues the first day or so but chalk it up to the stress of going from a hectic shelter to a new home with strange people. Already have started training her so we'll see how it goes.

    Very cute dog!

I'm very glad you decided on a shelter dog, I have one myself (a little quirky but VERY loyal and loving).

    Aww, what a beautiful girl.

I love adopting adult dogs. Everyone always wants puppies, so adults get overlooked too often. I think you made an awesome choice, and I know Pepper lucked into an awesome home.

    Re: I like Pepper...

yeah she craves attention. if you get on the floor she literally crawls onto your lap and snuggles as close as possible to you. She is a bit leary around the two little ones, but she does give them licks. she's still getting used to her new name and us so its going slowly, but in the right direction. she's sort of brindle but not.. its hard to explain and photos dont capture the sublte brindle striping she does have. Even with the naked eye it is difficult to discern the striping but its there. She already is becoming protective of the house and family. When the electric truck came into our driveway to read the meter she growled and barked a bit. I take that as a good sign.

Awwww!! Both of mine are rescue dogs and I firmly believe they are the best dogs in the world. Good luck with her, she looks like such a sweetie!

    Cheers,
