Hey Mike - the husband fed off my pet rat! WAAAAA!!!!

Stealthy booger! I gave him Mike's phone number too so he can get his own rats. Anyway, here's my set-up.
    My trio:

The problem is... Tornado (that's the black and white female) and Fireflame (that's the cream female) do not like Skullscrape (the male). Skullscrape would chase them around and the girls would run away squeaking! So, what's up with that? Maybe I need to replace Skullscrape with a Brad Pitt rat or something?

Here are the rest of the rats that are just hanging out in a converted Penn tennis ball bucket:

The food hopper is in 1/4" wire with the bottom holes snipped to make 1/2" holes. I was afraid the little guys would climb up the hopper where the food is low and get out.

I didn't use my 10 gallon glass tank because I figured it is easier to carry that plastic bucket to clean it out. The glass tank would be heavy and bulky to lug up to the sink.

The girls will be fine with that male, they are virgins I assume? They'll be fine, no reason to risk introducing a new male.

Yep, they are young virgins. I agree with connie. leave that male in with them. the chasing around and them squeeking is generally considered a good thing. When asf's breed it can be considered quite violent. often times the females will get little scratches / sores on their backs from him grabbing and biting. As long as he doesn't get too rough... I would consider it a good thing!
