Question Added plastic vegetation to enclosure

I've had my new ball python (Enzi) for 2 weeks now. He's fed twice and I handled him for around 5 minutes yesterday (first time handling since I got him).

His tank is large so I bought some plastic vegetation to fill the tank out and add more hiding spots. I am wondering if I should continue handling him or if I should leave him alone to get used to the new things.

I'd give him a couple of nights to get re-acquainted with his home before handling him again

Agreed. as long as you dont change waterdish placement or hides (something major), then adding some plants shouldnt throw your snake off too much. But leaving him be for a cpl days wouldnt hurt, you may not need the full week or more. But then again it also depends on the snake.

Thanks to both of you. I will be feeding him in 2 days so that should let me know if he's at least willing to eat. Based on that feeding I might choose to handle again 48 hours later.

Even if he refuses to eat I would still wait a couple of days before handling. Refusal is him saying that he's stressed and handling could increase that stress
