    Am I overfeeding?

Hello all. I have a ~6 month old BP (female I think) who I've been feeding 2 hoppers every 5 days. Does she seem too fat? This is 2 days after her last feeding and she hasn't pooped in ~2/3 weeks.
    Thanks!

I would say no. I feed a rat pup every 5 days at that age.

You could try soaking her in warm water for a bit and see if that helps her release.

    Re: Am I overfeeding?

Hoppers are pretty small for a 6 months old BP, I would recommend you to go up in size.

Hatchling BP are generally started on hoppers and quickly move to adult mice.

After for the famous poop question , there is no set schedule it varies according to prey size, feeding frequency, whether the animal is growing or not etc.

Six months and you're feeding it two hoppers? Geeze at that age I was feeding small rats (slightly larger than full grown mice) every 10 days.

my hatchling balls were eating hoppers the first time , then the stores only had full grown . So i bought them and they ate them with no problem.

    Re: Am I overfeeding?

In my opinion, if you feed more than once a week, you are feeding to often/frequent regarldess of the species.
    .
These 2 hoppers, are they in one sitting or 2 within 5 days? Either way, if you are finding that you have to feed two meals, I recommend bumping up to the next prey size. A snake of that age would do just fine on a 7-10 day regimen.
