    cannibals

I went to the feed store to buy a rat. while i was waiting, I was looking at the mice and a bunch of them ganged up on one and started eating it while it was still alive.

I told the worker there and he quickly disposed of the mouse. They usually have good husbandry there, but my question is why do mice eat each other like that. there was like 15 medium size mice in a 20 long. fresh water and a variety of food.

It was amazing how quickly they devoured the mouse, he was kinda still kicking when they removed him, but his lower half was almost all bone.

Ouch, eaten alive! Husbandry reasons can cause this to happen, but mice are so weird that a number of things could have set them off on this one mouse. It would have been sick, recently introduced to the tank, not enough food or water, wrong kind of food, a lot of things. The only time my mice ate anyone was because they had been over crowded, and the person taking care of them one weekend while I was gone "forgot" to feed and water them

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat
